Unison BARLA Great Britain Under 21’s 36

The Unison BARLA Great Britain Under 21’a got off too a great start with a win over a Moscow Select side 36-0 , with Wath Brow Hornets Jamie Devine claiming the man of the match.

He was closely followed by East Hulls Scott Mountain and Johnny Goulding from Cockermouth.

The game was a tough encounter and a great experience to all playing. John Paul Brocklebank kicked 4 goals and scored a try.

Both BARLA Great Britain wingers, Darryl Flannery (Leigh Miners Rangers) and Sean Robinson (Saddleworth Rangers) both crossed for 1 try a piece.

Leading 18-0 at half time, the BARLA Great Britain team upped there game with Wath Brows Rich Huby creating the platform with some real bone crunching shots. At this stage the Russians started to feel the pace and Kris Jones and Cris Walker crossed for a try apiece.

Scott Mountian (East Hull) raced 30 yards and sold the full back a dummy. Tony Burns (Kells) converted 2 tries.

Towards the end the game started to get slightly out of control so the referee blew 10 mins early.

Mark Cahill (Leigh East), John Paul Brocklebank (Egremont Rangers) Rich Huby (Wath Brow Hornets) were also in form bur they were rested for Thursday’s final test agaibnst Eussian champions Veraya
