UNISON BARLA GREAT BRITAIN UNDER 21’S SQUAD NAMED FOR GAME TO HELP THE HERO’S

The Unison BARLA Great Britain Under 21’s manager Phil Johnson has named a twenty man for the forthcoming game against The Army on Saturday 7th August at West Hull ARLFC kick off 12noon.

All proceeds from the game will be going to the ‘Help the Heroes’ charity for our servicemen and the game is kicking off at this time to avoid clashing with the Carnegie Challenge Cup semi final tie between the Leeds Rhinos and St Helens which kicks off at 2.30pm at the Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield.

Unison BARLA Great Britain Under 21’s manager Phil Johnson said,

“We have drafted three new players into the squad that toured Russia earlier in the month. They are Danny Rouse a lively half back, Steven Talbot a strong running prop and Adam Mason tough tackling second row or centre.

“The under 21s remain unbeaten under the coaching partnership of Tony Spence & Neil Houghton. This game will be a big test for our boys against a much improved British Army. Our boys will be meeting in Hull at 10.00am on the day for an early training session in preparation for this big game.

“All proceeds from the game will be going to the ‘Help the Heroes’ charity and we have already received commitments from West Hull club and other volunteers in relation to the ground, refreshments, referee and touch judges

“I hope the rugby league family of the city of Hull will support the game for such a worthy charity and cause.”
